Heavy metal legends Judas Priest are to bring the Priest Feast tour, also featuring thrash metal masters Megadeth and Testament, to the UK and Ireland in February.

Currently in the midst of a mammoth world tour in support of Nostradamus - the band's 2008 double concept album based on the life and work of the 16th Century apothecary and seer Michel de Nostradame - Judas Priest will be returning to the UK and Ireland in February for a series of dates dubbed 'Priest Feast'.

The tour will see them spread the love in their home city of Birmingham on Valentine's Day night, while other dates will see them hit other arenas in England, Wales, Scotland and bothe Northern and southern Ireland. Support on the tour will come from thrash metal legends Megadeth and the rejuvenated Testament.

Priest Feast Setlist to Include All the Judas Priest Classics

Although frontman Rob Halford (who rejoined the band in 2003 after a twelve year absence) has stated that the band would at some point play the entire Nostradamus set in its entirety, the Priest Feast shows should still be packed with classics culled from Judas Priest's extensive back catalogue and close to thirty year long career as purveyors of the finest heavy metal.

Megadeth New Album and Priest Feast Tour

Thrash metal mainstays Megadeth are also set to appear on the tour. The band are currently set to begin work on their brand new studio album with British producer Andy Sneap.

The album will be the first to feature new guitarist Chris Broderick, alongside the band's legendary guitarist, frontman and visionary Dave Mustaine and will be the follow-up to 2007's United Abominations - seen by many as a 'return to form' release. The as-yet untitled new album is expected to be released in late Spring 2009.

Testament for Priest Feast

Californians Testament will round off the Priest Feast bill. Rising to prominence as leading lights of the Bay Area thrash scene of the mid-80s, the band have enjoyed a recent resurgence following singer Chuck Billy's recovery from cancer. 2008's The Formation Of Damnation was their first new studio album in nine years while the band also played a storming set as Gibson Stage headliners at this year's Download Festival.
